How the ladies or fellas can eat and be merry with minimal funds. In other words, those hard times! here's some tips...
SPECIAL DELIVERY
"You don't have to be rich or famous to be treated well at the finest restaurants. And it doesn't have to always break the bank either. It's all about planning ahead. First of all, people ignore the specials, thinking they're more expensive. They aren't always. Listen to the specials. And you could actually save by splurging. If you spend $45 on the chateaubriand, you'll definitely be able to share it with your date and eat the leftovers the next day or so."
GO HALF ON THE ENTREE
"Think about asking for a half portion. Tell your date you had a big lunch. Most restaurants will offer a half portion of entrees at a lower price. That's the better for your diet as well since most restaurant portions are too large anyway."
HOME COOKING
"If you need to cook at home for a date, it can be done very elegant and on a tight budget. Your go-to meal is going to be pasta and a good pasta sauce. But keep in mind, your lady/man is not going to want to slurp up a stringy pasta. Get something like rigatoni. Less messy. Pick up a good bottle of white wine. You don't need to spend more than $15. You can do a much better white wine on a budget. And white is smoother and sweeter. Get yourself a few chicken breasts. Grill the chicken in olive oil, saute with shallots, add tomato sauce and a few spoonfuls of heavy whipping cream. You're done. So simple."
