Miguel: ‘Don’t Nobody Out There Step In My F-cking Lane’

I’m just gonna say, don’t nobody out there step into my f*cking lane. That’s all I’m going to say. Just stay in your lane. I’m a competitive person and the thing is I’m solidifying my lane and don’t f*cking come over here cause I will f*ck you up in that situation. But that’s how we’re supposed to be. I’ve been saying I appreciate so many different kinds of music and what I don’t appreciate is…I want everyone to express themselves in a unique way. I think I’m saying that in an aggressive way because that’s how I really feel, but what I mean by that is; find your own thing to do and create your own lane. It’s not the easy way, but it creates longevity for you and I think that’s what I’m trying to encourage.
Where I’m going, I’m really trying to take everybody with me, and I’m just saying, don’t come over here, I’ll f–k you up yo
Miguel also dished some tea on his upcoming album and what to expect as well as how he feels about people who have compared his musical style to Prince:
It’s definitely a progressive album. I would describe it as being progressive in the sense that I’m taking a lot of my more alternative influences and incorporating them. Adorn is a great Segue because its very soulful, in the way that I wrote it. In the way that I wrote it to be very simple and very to the point, but still have some alternative elements and I think that’s what makes it really cool. The people that love R&B music, there’s something relatable there, but then for the people who are a bit more progressive and have a bit more electronic ear and a taste for electronic music I think there’s some elements in there for them to enjoy too. It’s a very honest representation for where I’m at.  I think its just a Segue. As the singles progress, you’ll see we’re getting deeper into what the album is going to sound like.
On features
Well if you look at All I Want Is You, anyone that is familiar with the album knows I didn’t have any features. Well I had J. Cole, but we were both kind of emerging artists, and I did that album wise deliberately because I’m a man that wants to stand on his own two feet. I don’t need you to f*cking co-sign, I don’t need that sh*t. I appreciate other artist who are creative and like minded and who allow me to be apart of their creative process. What I’ll say is I can’t tell you who I may feature in this next album, but I can guarantee you it will be unexpected.
On comparisons to Prince:
I can’t even try and fill those shoes. I would never try. I’m very much inspired by Prince, so to remind people of things about him I think is really cool.

Zombie Apocalypse Averted? Bath Salts Ban Passes U.S. Senate

via thehollywoodgossip

In the wake of reports that bath salts may have played a role in Saturday's Miami zombie apocalypse attack, the U.S. Senate passed a bill to ban the substances.
Federal legislation criminalizing synthetic marijuana and some bath salts passed the Senate today and is now on its way to the House of Representatives.
The law was not passed as a result of the zombie apocalypse, but as part of the FDA Safety and Innovation Act, championed by Sen. Charles Schumer.

"Let this be a warning to those who make a profit manufacturing and selling killer chemical components to our teens and children," Schumer (D-NY) said.
"This bill closes loopholes that have allowed manufacturers to circumvent local and state bans," he said of the effort to ban "these deadly synthetic drugs."
Last Saturday, Rudy Eugene, 31, was shot dead by local police on the off-ramp of the MacArthur Causeway in Miami. He was eating another man's face.
As a police officer told Eugene to get off Ronald Poppo, he "just stood ... with pieces of flesh in his mouth and he growled," eyewitness Larry Vega said.
An ER doctor at the local Jackson Memorial Hospital told the Herald that Eugene's attack may have been brought on by psychosis caused by bath salts.
The extreme violence, super-human strength and an urge to shed clothes all correspond with reports of bath salt usage around the United States.

Lindsay Lohan Involved in Another Nightclub Fracas; Michael Lohan Comes to Her Rescue

Last night, the alleged actress returned to the scene of the alleged crime from two weeks ago, when she allegedly got into a fight with some woman.
This time, LiLo rolled to The Standard Hotel in Hollywood and went to Smoke and Mirrors, the same nightclub ... and got into it with another woman.
FIERY
Lindsay's friend drove her car to the hotel, with the star in the passenger seat. The driver pulled into the parking garage and promptly hit another car.
Witnesses say Lindsay called her sometimes-estranged, oft-jailed father, Michael Lohan, for help, and he dutifully showed up ... and then hung out!
MiLo took his little girl inside the club and the two chilled for hours, without any alcohol. Cute! It was all fun until some moron had to go mouth off.
Around closing time, a woman in the booth next to theirs made a snide comment about Lindsay showing up with her dad. LiLo was far from happy.
Lindsay got up and screamed, "Shut the f**k up!" The woman responded by throwing a drink in Lindsay's face. MiLo grabbed her and bolted for the exit.
A day in the life.

George Zimmerman To Be Charged

Thank You Jesus!
It's been over a month since Trayvon Martin was shot and killed as he walked home from a quick trip to the store, and after rallies, marches, protests, letters, blogs, and a cry of outrage from the public, his killer George Zimmerman will be charged with his death.

According to the Washington Post, special prosecutor Angela Cory is planning on announcing that Zimmerman will face charges on the death of Trayvon, though they didn’t specify as to what exact charges he would be facing. She told reporters yesterday that she’s planning on making an announcement within 24 hours. Zimmerman has always said that he shot Trayvon in self-defense, even though he armed himself and followed the 17-year-old – which police officers told him not to do – initiated a confrontation which turned physical and resulted in murder. Trayvon was unarmed and running from Zimmerman, but Zimmerman claimed he was acting under the ‘stand your ground’ law that’s upheld in Florida.
This news of him being charged comes just a day after Zimmerman’s lawyers Craig Sonner and Hal Uhrig made a statement saying they’re no longer working with him because they’ve “lost contact” with their client and that they’ve had no contact with him since Sunday. For some reason, Zimmerman wasn’t returning their phone calls but called prosecutor Corey’s office and FOX TV host Sean Hannity without telling them first. The prosecutor wouldn’t talk to him without his lawyers and the TV host wouldn’t tell the lawyers what Zimmerman said. Without giving up where he’s hiding, his ex-lawyers admitted Zimmerman has long moved out of Florida but they don’t know where he is, and that they are concerned with his physical, emotional, and mental state. It’s funny that even though they dropped him as a client, they still stand by the fact that Zimmerman acted in self-defense, but did say they are forming that opinion without actually meeting Zimmerman face-to-face.
Also, Zimmerman started a website so that he could pull in donations to help pay for personal and legal fees, but the lawyers say that the PayPal account he’s got linked to it isn’t the PayPal account that they set up for him, so they’re not seeing any of that money. On the website George wrote:
I am the real George Zimmerman,    On Sunday February 26th, I was involved in a life altering event which led me to become the subject of intense media coverage. As a result of the incident and subsequent media coverage, I have been forced to leave my home, my school, my employer, my family and ultimately, my entire life. This website’s sole purpose is to ensure my supporters they are receiving my full attention without any intermediaries.
It has come to my attention that some persons and/or entities have been collecting funds, thinly veiled as my “Defense Fund” or “Legal Fund”. I cannot attest to the validity of these other websites as I have not received any funds collected, intended to support my family and I through this trying, tragic time.
I have created a Paypal account solely linked on this website as I would like to provide an avenue to thank my supporters personally and ensure that any funds provided are used only for living expenses and legal defense, in lieu of my forced inability to maintain employment. I will also personally, maintain accountability of all funds received. I reassure you, every donation is appreciated.
Sincerely,
George Zimmerman

I am grateful to my friends that have come to my aid, whether publicly or personally, never questioning my integrity or actions, understanding that I cannot discuss the details of the event on February 26th, and allowing law enforcement to proceed with their investigation unhindered.  Once again, I thank you for your patience and I assure you, the facts will come to light.

A Neighborhood Vigilante Killed An Unarmed Kid And Remains Free

Trayvon Martin, a black high-school junior, was making his way home with a bag of Skittles and a can of iced tea on Feb. 26 when George Zimmerman spotted him, called a non-emergency dispatch number to report Martin looked intoxicated, followed him, and then minutes later after an altercation, shot him. Zimmerman, 28, who is white, claimed self defense. He was never arrested and has been charged with no crime, sparking national outrage.

Nicki Minaj & Ricky Martin’s Viva Galm Lipstick

Last year, MAC announced that Nicki Minaj and Ricky Martin would team up for its 2012 MAC Viva Glam campaign and now the new collection is almost upon us. Both will be promoting a pair of products that will nourish and add some oomph to your lips.
Minaj fans can be as bold as the “Super Bass” singer with a new lipstick in her trademark hot pink tone. The shade has a yellow tint to it and comes in a satin finish, and to ensure that those puckers stay in top shape, try using Martin’s colorless lip conditioner. It moisturizes your lips and creates a soft base for lipsticks.

Nicki, whose second album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, is set to drop in April, is clearly having a blast with her new side gigs. Not only is this the rapper’s second collaboration with MAC, but her six-shade nail lacquer collection with OPI was released last month as well. On top of that, she’s thinking about creating her own line of clothes and covers this month’s Wonderland magazine.

Viva Glam Nicki Lipstick ($14.50) and the clear Lip Conditioner ($15) will hit shelves Feb. 15 with 100 percent of proceeds from sales going towards the MAC AIDS fund, which helps those living with HIV/AIDS.

Drake Is Now Being Sued By His Ex Featured On “Marvin’s Room”

Lee reports that after the song was released, their relationship ended and got ugly fast. The two discussed meeting in Los Angeles, but it never happened. According to the complaint, Drake later sent a text message to Lee that offered her 2 percent of “publishing royalties.” By November, Lee hired a lawyer, which allegedly caused Drake to make threatening phone calls. “What the f–k is your problem?” he said to her, according to the complaint, then offering her “4-5%” of publishing monies plus a $50,000 payout to go away.

Drake Talks Common Beef, Apologizes To Vanessa Bryant

For weeks, one of the more intriguing questions in Hip-Hop has been whether or not Drake would respond to Common’s “Stay Schemin’” freestyle/remix where he openly took shots at him after weeks of subliminal shots. Well, we’ve finally got our answer – a definitive “no.” Drizzy sat down with Nah Right’s nation to speak about the beef and how, more than anything, he was disappointed Com even took the situation to the lengths he did. He also shed light on the line that has taken on a life of its own, the one directed towards Vanessa Bryant (soon to be ex-wife of Lakers star, Kobe Bryant).
So people want to know: will you respond to Common? No. Because despite how it’s been worded by him that situation is not a “hip hop moment” or a “battle for the sake of musical integrity”…it’s a ploy for attention around the release of an album. More than anything it was just disappointing cause what kid isn’t a fan of what Common has done for our genre. A guy who made such an incredible career for himself based off expressing genuine feelings about life and love is now targeting me for sharing my story.
There’s a line from your “Stay Schemin” verse about Kobe’s soon to be ex-wife Vanessa that has gotten some negative attention. Can you speak to what you were trying to express with that line? That line came from a conversation about being this young and making this much money and the fear of losing it all. I just used his potential situation to address my own life. I never intended to offend Vanessa or anyone else. That line had everything to do with me and what goes on in my head as a 25 year old man with this much income flowing in. Kobe is and always will be a friend and an icon to me.

Cher: NOT Dead, Despite Twitter Hoax!

Cher is not dead. Not even a little bit.

The music legend, 65, became the latest notable name to fall victim to an Internet death hoax when “RIP Cher” became a Twitter trend late Thursday night.

The rumor apparently started when a user by the name @Lorraine_Star posted a BS tweet which was made to look like a re-tweet from CNN’s real account.

Plenty of regular people and idiot stars alike bought it.

Cher Pic

The message, likely concocted just so people will re-tweet it, read: “RT @CNN: American recording artist Cher dies at 65 years old. Found dead in Malibu home.”

“Did I just hear Cher has passed away? Is this real? OMG,” Kim Kardashian tweeted, never one to sit back and not insert herself into anything trending.

Terrible matchmaker Patti Stanger of Millionaire Matchmaker fame was also quick to weigh in: “Is this for real? I don't see it anywhere. Can't be!”

Idiot Kim Tweet

Kim Kardashian is never one to refrain from Tweeting. Or use spellcheck.

While it's true that Cher hasn’t been active on her Twitter since January 22, her good friend, jewelry designer Loree Rodkin, set the record straight:

“Whoever started that stupid rumor needs to have their face dragged across concrete. It’s a hoax. She’s fine. She's so NOT dead. She's just a busy girl.”

Here's welcoming Cher - along with recent death hoax survivors Jackie Chan, Justin Bieber, Will Smith, Jim Carrey and Jon Bon Jovi - back from the fake dead!

Jean Paul Gaultier Pays Homage to Amy Winehouse at Fashion Show; Family Rages on Twitter

Designer Jean Paul Gaultier paid homage to Amy Winehouse's unique style at his Paris runway show earlier this week. Imitation is the highest form of flattery, right?

Wrong, if you're the late singer's father, Mitch Winehouse.

"We don't support the Jean Paul Galtier [sic] collection. It is in poor taste," the elder Winehouse tweeted, incensed at his daughter's image being used to sell clothes.

The Late Amy Winehouse

"The family was upset to see those pictures. They were a total shock," he told The Sun.

"We're still grieving, and we've had a difficult week with the six-month anniversary of Amy's death." Mitch said Gaultier's show portrayed "a view of Amy when she was not at her best, [glamorizing] some of the more upsetting times in her life."

Mitch felt it inappropriate to try and cash in on his daughter's legacy.

"To see her image lifted wholesale to sell clothes was a wrench we were not expecting or consulted on. We're proud of her influence on fashion but find black veils on models, smoking cigarettes with a barbershop quartet singing her music in bad taste."

He wasn't the only harsh critic of the celebrity fashion designer.

Kelly Osbourne, a close friend of Amy Winehouse, also Tweeted in response: "Although @JPGaultier was paying homage to my friend and icon to the world, I found it to be lucratively selfish and distasteful. Exploitation=evil."

Demi Moore "smoked something" before convulsions: 911 tape

According to (Reuters) - Actress Demi Moore suffered convulsions and seemed only semi-conscious after smoking an undisclosed substance before being rushed to hospital earlier this week, according to the tape of a medical emergency call released on Friday.

"She smoked something, it's not marijuana but it is similar to incense. She seems to be having convulsions of some sort," a female friend of Moore told emergency services when calling for an ambulance on Monday.

"She has been having some issues. I don't know what she has been taking," another woman at Moore's house that night told the 911 dispatcher. Moore was also described as "burning up", unable to speak and semi-conscious before help arrived at her Beverly Hills mansion.

The tape shed the first official light on the emergency that sent recently-separated Moore to the hospital, and later to seek treatment for what her spokeswoman has described only as "exhaustion".

Los Angeles officials said portions of the tape recording had been edited for privacy and to remove references to specific substances.

Celebrity website TMZ.com has reported that one of the friends at Moore's home on Monday told paramedics the actress had been inhaling nitrous oxide -- a substance also known as whip-its or poppers that gives users a high by briefly depriving the body of oxygen. The substance was not mentioned on the version of the tape recording released to the media.

The "Ghost" and "G.I. Jane" actress, 49, filed for divorce from husband Ashton Kutcher, 33, in November after the "Two and a Half Men Star" had a widely publicized fling with another woman.

Her gaunt appearance in paparazzi photos over the last few months has raised alarm bells in the celebrity media.

Her spokeswoman said on Tuesday Moore had decided to seek professional treatment for "exhaustion and (to) improve her overall health" because of stress. Moore's representatives have declined to give any details or comment further on her problems.

Moore and Kutcher were married for six years and their 16-year age gap made them the subject of constant media fascination.

Kutcher returned to Los Angeles from Brazil on Thursday, refusing to comment to the media about Moore.

Rihanna Goes Gangsta with New ‘Thug Life’ Tattoo

Rihanna has paid homage to rapper Tupac Shakur by getting the same tattoo as him. The We Found Love hitmaker has had Thug Life etched on her hands, the same inking that the slain rapper – who was killed in a drive-by shooting in 1996 – had on his stomach.

She tweeted a picture with the caption “? All these b****es screaming that 2pac back ? #THUGLIFE (sic).”

She also posted a separate message – reportedly in reference to Drake’s single Free Spirit which mentions Tupac’s girlfriend Kidada Jones, who used to have a tattoo of his face on her arm.

She wrote: “Tat my f***in name on u girl so I know its real!!! #MINE (sic).”

The 23-year-old is a huge fan of tattoos, with approximately 14 visible inkings including a musical note, a Pisces, the word ‘love’, a trail of stars and the French saying ‘Rebelle Fleur’ – which means rebellious flower.
