New Video: Kanye West & Jay-Z f/ Frank Ocean – “No Church In The Wild”

“Sunglasses and Advil. Last night was mad real.”
Yeezy’s hot line from “No Church In The Wild” just took on a whole new meaning after watching the video interpretation of the track.
For their newest visual, Kanye and Jay decided to take a backseat by not appearing in the video and opted to instead depict the violence and struggle that has been occurring over the past few years during the huge protests that have been breaking out all over the world. The five-minute clip opens with a Molotov cocktail being thrown at a wall of police right before barehanded rebels attack gangs of cops on the streets of Prague like they have nothing to lose while Frank Ocean sings:
Human beings’ in a mob
What’s a mob to a king?
What’s a king to a god?
What’s a god to a non-believer
Who don’t be- lieve in anything?
Will he make it out alive?
Throughout the video, director Romain Gavras included stoic expressions from statues of Greek gods amid images of cops macing and clubbing citizens who are fighting for what they believe in.

In other Throne news, frequent Kanye collaborator, producer Mike Dean, has announced that a ‘Watch The Throne 2′ is in the works. And although they’re not working on it yet, it’s definitely happening. In a recent interview, he said:
“I’m working on the G.O.O.D. Music album, of course,” said Dean, “and Watch The Throne 2 – it’s not started yet, but it’s coming.”Jay-Z also hinted at it last December during an interview with MTV News:
“We – I say ‘we’ because I’m in Throne mode – we’re in a great place creatively. You might see a Jay, then Kanye, and a Throne album next year . . . We really found our zone.”

On this year's Olympic Games music lineup, Rihanna & Jay-Z were just anounced as performers at BBC Radio 1 Hackney Weekend 2012 (June 23-24) a month before the Games. The weekend is part of a huge push of artist events surrounding the 2012 summer Olympic Games in London.
Acording to Businessweek, other headliners of Hackney Weekend -- set to draw an estimated 100,000 fans -- are Florence + the Machine, Jack White, David Guetta and Tinie Tempah.

Young Guru: “There are maybe four songs so far and most of them are spill over. I don’t wanna say spill-over like they’re throw-aways from Watch The Throne. It’s an incredible beat coming on and Jay being like, ‘No that’s for my album. Hold that one, it’s for me.’ So the ones that were made so far, the beats were made during the Watch The Throne time.
“Now we’re adding on to it, but we haven’t gone back in. We had all this touring stuff. It was the end of the year and we were doing shows. Then the baby came. We literally went in to do the song for Blue Ivy and he hasn’t been back since. He’s definitely enjoying daddy mode right now.”

Looks like there is a new Roc Nation princess on the rise….
Jay-z took a break from Daddy duty earlier today to promote his new artist Rita Ora who signed with Roc Nation a little over two years ago. He arrived at Z100 radio station with Rita in tow to introduce her stateside debut, ‘Party and Bullsh-t’. On the new track, which has a ‘California Gurls’ vibe, the British songbird gets drunk off of love while waking up to a hangover with her boo by her side. It’ll take more than a little migraine and retina-burning sunlight to stop Rita’s party from rocking.

Pic Of The Day: “The Throne” Gets The Last Laugh Grammy Weekend
During Cash Money’s pre Grammy party Lil Wayne took a shoot at, “The Throne,” stating, “I met a bad red bone, I took the bitch home, I asked her what she want to watch, she said surely not, “The Throne.” With his label Cash Money having 17 Grammy nominations Lil Wayne was feeling very confident. Unfortunately Cash Money ended up not winning a single award while Kanye won 4, with one going to, “The Throne,” for, “Otis.”
But as we all know Grammy awards don’t mean much, Kanye West didn’t even show up. The issues between Lil Wayne and, “The Throne,” all stem from Lil Wayne’s belief he is the great rapper alive. I think he feels the title, “Watch The Throne,” was a statement from Jay-Z and Kanye West that they are the greatest rappers alive. With Lil Wayne throwing shots over and over it is about time for him to just flat out make a diss track or move on. Either express all your anger on a solid diss track or just focus on making music you beleive is better than, “The Throne’s.”

Kanye West and Jay-Z Release “Niggas in Paris” Music Video with Givenchy and Art Visuals
Kanye West and Jay-Z finally released a music video for “”Niggas in Paris”, which has become the biggest song off their Grammy nominated Watch The Throne album. The video, which was directed by Kanye, takes live footage from their LA concert at the Staples Center and merges them with renaissance inspired art and architecture. You can tell the main focus was to capture the atmosphere and excitement the song generated from the crowd during the tour. Jay-z wore a snakeskin print NY Yankees cap, a Givenchy double layer leather jersey hoodie ($1,995), cargo pants, and Air Jordan 1 sneakers. Mr. West was wearing a custom Givenchy Watch The Throne oversized t-shirt, a leather kilt, leather pants, and his Air Yeezy 2 sneakers

Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club Is Shut Down After Reopening
Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club was shut down for a
slew of health-code violations just a day after its celebrity-drenched $10 million relaunch — and
now it faces a dreaded “C” grade, The Post has learned. An inspector found perishable food at dangerously warm temperatures inside the walk-in refrigerator and discovered “hot” food left out on the counter on Thursday, Health Department sources said. A worker was also seen mixing salsa with his bare hands.

Bad idea to spend all that money on a relaunch when the restaurant will be getting a, “C,” rating. Jay-Z’s affiliation isn’t enough to make overlook these issues.

On a freezing cold January night, both celebs and athletes came out to attend Jay-Z‘s reopening of his flatiron sports club The 40/40. Celebrity’s such as Spike Lee, Ashanti, Swizz Beatz, Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia, even Billionaire Warren Buffet walked the red carpet into the newly renovated sports bar to celebrate with Hov. Jay-Z himself walking through the red carpet with a noticeable glow, the birth of his daughter Blue Ivy Carter and the reopening of the 40/40 club along with other endeavors must be in fact due the reasoning behind the fresh faced Hov. The year has been quite gracious to the Carters thus far and we’re eager to see what else Jay-Z has up his sleeves for the remainder of 2012.
