Appeals Court Upholds C-Murders Murder Conviction

A Louisiana judge upheld C-Murder’s (Corey Miller) 2009 conviction of a life sentence for the 2002 murder of a 16 year old fan at a nightclub in Jefferson Parish, LA. C-Murder had filed for an appeal claiming that his trial was unfair and prosecutors prevented black people from being included in the jury. Miller also argued that a mistrial should have been declared once the jury could not reach a verdict on the case. Miller was eventually convicted of second degree murder and a three judge panel upheld that conviction earlier this week. The rapper remains in jail and will continue to serve out his life sentence.
