R.I.P. Sherman Hemsley

Actor Sherman Hemsley has passed away. He was 74. Hemsley was best known for his role as George Jefferson on the sitcom, The Jefferson’s. Back in 2004, actress Isabel Sanford, who played his wife, Louise “Weezie” Jefferson passed away.

So far, the cause of death is unclear, but TMZ reports he was discovered by his nurse this afternoon at his El Paso home in Texas. Here’s to the deluxe apartment in the sky.
